Wednesday Prayers: Where are you, Caroline Grace?

When I was in Jr. High and High School, I had a friend named Caroline who was just amazing. She was a friend of my mom's, but ended up being an incredible part of my life. She treated me like an adult when I was a teenager, tried to teach me to trust myself, and was just generally an amazing woman. She was a poet and artist, but also an Ivy League grad and city planner. I've been thinking of her a lot lately. I don't have any idea where she is, but I miss her like crazy.

So this week, I'm praying for those I've loved and lost track of. I'm thanking God for my time with them, and asking for blessings upon them.

How about you? Any special prayers this week?

"So keep fightin' for freedom and justice, beloveds, but don't you forget to have fun doin' it. Lord, let your laughter ring forth. Be outrageous, ridicule the fraidy-cats, rejoice in all the oddities that freedom can produce. And when you get through kickin' ass and celebratin' the sheer joy of a good fight, be sure to tell those who come after how much fun it was."
