A Helpful Snippet

Tonight I was trying to find Compline from the New Zealand Prayer Book-- no luck. I shall have to break down and buy myself a copy.

I did, however, find a wonderful site for celtic versions of the daily offices. No surprise, it comes from Northumberland. Take a peek for some really beautiful language and perspective.

Northumberland is where Durham Cathedral is, a fantastically beautiful place. I've not yet been able to visit, but I thought about writing my dissertation on one of the Lives of St. Cuthbert made there. He and Bede are buried there. Google image some pix of it and you'll see how gorgeous it is. much loves, lola

"So keep fightin' for freedom and justice, beloveds, but don't you forget to have fun doin' it. Lord, let your laughter ring forth. Be outrageous, ridicule the fraidy-cats, rejoice in all the oddities that freedom can produce. And when you get through kickin' ass and celebratin' the sheer joy of a good fight, be sure to tell those who come after how much fun it was."
