Wednesday Prayers: In Memorium

I've written a lot of condolence letters lately, two just this week for women whose mothers have died. My prayers are with all who grieve the death of a loved one, and this week they are especially with V and B.

Are there prayers you'd like me to add to these?

  1. in the midst of our service this morning, I helped a woman out of the church who was in severe pain (foot issues). Place on top of that her mom just died a week ago and two weeks before that her house burnt down. Prayers for Mrs C and her family are in order.

and this... I am so glad we had yet another meet up. Peace and Hope

  2. Happy Easter! We returned last night from our wonderful trip and now I am facing a pile of grading and a conference paper to write in a week, including mastering powerpoint on my new computer and having a couple of plans for connectivity at the conference (previous art inclusion has been via transparency). Short deadlines always increase the chance of the writing block kicking in so I'm pretty anxious.

"So keep fightin' for freedom and justice, beloveds, but don't you forget to have fun doin' it. Lord, let your laughter ring forth. Be outrageous, ridicule the fraidy-cats, rejoice in all the oddities that freedom can produce. And when you get through kickin' ass and celebratin' the sheer joy of a good fight, be sure to tell those who come after how much fun it was."
