Holy Saturday Prayers

As we wait for Easter:

In times of despair, O God, rain showers of gentleness upon us, that we may be kindly to one another and also to ourselves. Renew in us the spirit of hope. Even in the depths of the darkness, may we hear the approach of the One who harrows hell and greets even Judas with a kiss. -Jim Cotter

How can I pray for you during the darkness?

  1. I am making confession at 2:30 today. Only my 2nd time for this sacrament. Thanks...

  3. Me, too, 2:00--just shifting gears from research to preparation. Will pray for you too, Mary Beth, in that joyous yet nervewracking sacrament--and for the desires of your heart, Mrs. M.

  4. pray for the father of three young girls across the street, who stood in his burnt out house, telling me his story yesterday. The family is in need of some healing energy and love.

They are amazed to have survived, that is the good news.

    Happy Easter

"So keep fightin' for freedom and justice, beloveds, but don't you forget to have fun doin' it. Lord, let your laughter ring forth. Be outrageous, ridicule the fraidy-cats, rejoice in all the oddities that freedom can produce. And when you get through kickin' ass and celebratin' the sheer joy of a good fight, be sure to tell those who come after how much fun it was."
